Biblical Context
Jeremiah 43:7 records that the people entered Egypt because they did not heed the LORD's voice. In Neville's sense, this reflects a disobedient inner state that leads to bondage; true freedom arises from listening to the inner guidance and obeying it.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jeremiah 43:7 declares that they came into the land of Egypt because they did not listen to the voice of the LORD. In this inner-reading, the 'land' is a state of mind, 'Egypt' a bondage of fear and dependence, and 'Tahpanhes' a fixed belief about where you must go when guidance is ignored. When you refuse the inward impulse, your consciousness drifts toward outer control and circumstance, and you arrive at a scene that feels inevitable. The liberating law of this verse is not geographic; it is a shift in consciousness. If you hear the inner word and consent to it, you reposition your identity from victim of circumstance to the I AM that governs the scene. The 'voice of the LORD' is the living I AM within, the sure guidance that says, 'Turn here, align there, do this now.' The ones who obey within are already free; the others simply enact a belief in separation. Therefore, to heal, turn your attention inward, acknowledge the I AM as your true being, and act from that conviction. Obedience is alignment with awakened awareness, not submission to a distant power.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you have heard and obeyed the inner voice now. Visualize yourself standing in a bright inner room, choosing in harmony with I AM, and notice the outer scene subtly shifting to reflect that alignment.
