Read Jeremiah 42 in context

Scripture Focus

11Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
12And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.
Jeremiah 42:11-12

Biblical Context

Do not fear the king of Babylon; fear is unnecessary because God is with you to save and deliver you from his hand. He will show mercy so you may return to your own land.

Neville's Inner Vision

Fear is a mood, not a thing. The king of Babylon in Jeremiah is a symbol of any outer circumstance that your present consciousness has made real. When you awaken to the I AM, that outer king loses its power, for the sole ruler is the inner awareness you call I AM. The Lord speaks as your own awareness: I am with you to save you and deliver you from his hand. This mercy is not a favor bestowed from without but a shift of perception that returns you to your own land, the quiet kingdom that lies within. The mercies promised become your present mood when you refuse to identify with fear and stand in the confidence that you are protected by the I AM. Your rescue is already accomplished in the field of consciousness; you move from fear to faith as you simply assume the truth of the I AM here and now, and the external circumstance bends to your renewed consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'I am with the I AM and I am delivered.' Feel the relief as if you are already home in your own land of peace.
