Biblical Context
Jeremiah 42:10-11 invites steadfastness in your present state of consciousness. God promises restoration and protection, while you are urged not to fear external powers.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your land is your current state of consciousness. If you stay there with unwavering attention, the I AM within you will build you and plant you, ensuring you are not uprooted by imagined threats. The verse’s phrase about repenting of the evil recalls the inner revision you must perform: let go the old image of harm done to you by surrendering it to the light of the present moment. The 'king of Babylon' is the image of limitation that arises when you forget who you are; yet the LORD’s assurance—"I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand"—is the conviction of your true I AM presence everywhere. Deliverance comes not from changing outer circumstances but from shifting your inner state so that fear cannot take root. When you recognize you are the one who experiences, your covenant loyalty becomes a habitual state of trust, your mind built and planted by the divine word within. As you dwell there, mercy flows and protection becomes your natural atmosphere.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and place your attention on the I AM within you, and declare: 'I am in this land, and the I AM builds and plants me now.' Visualize roots taking hold and builders erecting a calm, secure landscape inside you; feel fearless and delivered as you rest in this presence.
