Biblical Context
Jeremiah 40:3-4 shows judgment as the consequence of disobedience. It then releases a person from chains and offers a free choice: go with the inner guide into Babylon or forbear; the land of possibility lies before you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Be aware that the text is a mirror of your inner state. The Lord’s bringing it to pass is not punishment but a shift in your mind’s center; the I AM within is waking to a new assumption. The chains are old identifications; loosing them means you identify with a newer state of consciousness. When the invitation says 'come with me into Babylon,' it is an inner invitation to embody a future condition in awareness, not a trip. 'Forbear' invites you to stay with the present self if that is your chosen state. Yet 'all the land is before thee' declares that every possible state exists now within your imagination. Your task is to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled and to let that inner move guide you toward the state you desire. Deliverance is not imposed from outside; it is a revision of what you accept as real.
Practice This Now
Practice: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am free now from every inner chains.' Then imagine stepping across an inner threshold toward the land you choose, and feel yourself already living there.
