Inner Obedience, Inner Fate

Jeremiah 38:19-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 38 in context

Scripture Focus

19And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.
20But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live.
Jeremiah 38:19-20

Biblical Context

Zedekiah fears the judgment of his people if handed to the Chaldeans; Jeremiah counsels obedience to the LORD's voice, promising safety and life for the soul.

Neville's Inner Vision

Fear is a state you have assumed, not a fact outside you. Zedekiah's worry about the mob represents internal doubt about your own worth and protection. Jeremiah's instruction points inward: hear the voice of the LORD and align your next move with it. When you declare, in imagination, that the I AM within governs your steps, the imagined threat loses its power. The so-called external danger is a projection of consciousness; you can revise it by choosing the inner alignment as your reality. Do not seek safety through doom-laden prophecies or external outcomes; rest in the sense that you are guided by the I AM, and life unfolds as well-being. This is the law: listen, obey, and feel the relief of being in harmony with the I AM who shelters and sustains you, now and always.

Practice This Now

Imaginatively assume you have received the inner instruction and that obedience to the I AM brings well-being. In a moment of quiet, feel it-real that you are protected and led by your inner voice.
