Biblical Context
Jeremiah is seized and the scroll burned; yet the LORD hides them and later speaks again to Jeremiah, restoring the prophetic message within the inner consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a drama within consciousness. The king who burns the roll represents an outer policy of limitation in your mind, a tendency to dismiss or erase the living word you carry. Baruch and Jeremiah seized yet unseen by the outer scene, because the LORD hid them; this is your inner self retreating from the sight of the world to guard what matters most. The actual removal of the script does not destroy the origin of the message; the Word, planted in I AM, waits, and then comes again when the noise subsides. In Neville's terms, the true prophecy is not in the parchment but in the living, aware feeling that says, 'I AM' and 'It shall come to pass within me.' The return of the word after the roll is burned is a sign that beliefs are revisionary; once you align with the assumption that your inner idea is secure and unburnable, the fresh revelation flows. So you are invited to practice assuming the Word is preserved in your consciousness and will speak again when needed.
Practice This Now
Impose a simple practice: sit quietly, close your eyes, and imagine the outer scene burning a scroll; then feel the inner word as safe, and imagine a new, clear message arriving within you as you speak it softly.
