Read Jeremiah 35 in context

Scripture Focus

15I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
Jeremiah 35:15

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 35:15 records God sending prophets to urge each man to turn from evil ways and idols. It promises dwelling in the land given to ancestors, yet the people refuse to listen.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this verse you meet the inner court where God is the I AM addressing your present state. The prophets are not distant messengers but the recurring impulses of consciousness calling you to amend your doings and to renounce every allegiance to 'other gods' that keep you from your true land, the continuous awareness in which you already dwell. When you hear, yet do not incline your ear, you reveal a moment of resistance in your own mind. The call to turn is a call to revise your inner script; to stop projecting idols as powers outside and begin to accept that your own beliefs, habits, and fear are the gods you must dethrone. If you imagine yourself listening and obeying, you begin to inhabit the land your forefathers dreamed of, the peace and prosperity that follows alignment with I AM. The key is to assume the feeling of the turn: the instant you revise your mind to return to your true center, your outward world follows.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, revise a memory of idol-worship, and feel the instant you turn to the I AM. Imagine dwelling now in the land of your consciousness.
