Scripture Focus

21And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon's army, which are gone up from you.
Jeremiah 34:21

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 34:21 describes Zedekiah and his princes being handed over to their enemies and to those seeking their life by the Babylonian army.

Neville's Inner Vision

To me, this verse is an invitation to discover the king within you. Zedekiah and his princes are not strangers in a far-off city; they are the present state of consciousness you inherit when you identify with lack, exile, and threat. The enemies, the life-seekers, and the Babylonian army are the inner movements of belief that have risen from you to test your sense of self. When you make this inner shift, you do not beg for mercy from a distant king; you acknowledge that the I AM, your true awareness, rules the stage. The king’s army is already poised to move on your command, because the whole world obeys your inner assertion. The seeming outside is simply the echo of what you have assumed about yourself. The moment you renew your sense of kingly authority—here, now—the entire situation collapses into a new order, guided by your I AM and the feeling that you reign over every appearing enemy.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise the scene: affirm that you are the king within, the I AM that rules now. Say, 'I reign over every circumstance; the foes dissolve as I reaffirm my inner authority,' and feel that you have already realized this power.
