Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville's ear, Jeremiah 30:9 speaks of a people who shall serve the Lord and a king whom God will raise up within. In the inner theater, “they” are your changing states of consciousness; “the Lord” is the awake I AM, the ever-present awareness that notices. “David their king” is your inner king—the royal principle or divine idea that governs your thoughts, feelings, and actions. “Whom I will raise up unto them” is God’s promise of inward rebirth: the higher self coming to govern from within as you align with that truth. When you imagine yourself serving the I AM, you are not yielding to a distant ruler, you are inviting the inner ruler to take the throne of your mind. The king’s government is the order, purpose, and sovereignty that your awareness can embody. Your task is to rest in that inner crown, feel the authority of the Lord directing every movement, and allow external circumstances to reflect the government you already crowned in your own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Impose this now: close your eyes, and in the imagination, say, 'I am the Lord my God, and the risen king within me now governs my life.' Stay with the feeling of that government until it is real in your chest and breath, then watch as events reorder to match the inner arrangement.
