Read Jeremiah 30 in context

Scripture Focus

18Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
Jeremiah 30:18

Biblical Context

God promises restoration: Jacob's tents will return from captivity, dwelling places will be blessed with mercy, and the city and palace will be rebuilt.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your inner Jerusalem is listening. Jeremiah 30:18 speaks not of distant geography, but of the state you awaken within. The tents of Jacob are the shifting beliefs you inhabit; captivity is the dream of lack or separation. The Lord's word— I will bring again the captivity— is the I AM promising the return of your true pattern, the mercy on his dwellingplaces. Mercy is the ongoing, steady energy that repairs the rooms of your consciousness; it softens old walls and makes room for what you truly desire. The city shall be builded upon her own heap means your inner city does not wait for borrowed supports; it rises from the reliable foundation of imagination already present. And the palace shall remain after the manner thereof: your inner governance—the state of being in which you live—persists when you inhabit the vision. So, see yourself at rest in this rebuilt metropolis of awareness; dissolve the sense of vacancy by accepting the restoration already accomplished in consciousness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, assume the feeling of the city restored, with the I AM as builder; revise any sense of vacancy by affirming, 'This inner city is rebuilt now.'
