Return To God: Healing Within

Jeremiah 3:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 3 in context

Scripture Focus

22Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.
23Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
Jeremiah 3:22-23

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 3:22-23 invites backsliders to return, promising healing; true salvation lies in the LORD, not in hills or mountains.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture your present moment as a state, not a place. Backsliding is simply a drift of consciousness away from the I AM that you are. When the text says, 'Return... and I will heal your backslidings,' it points to a turning of attention, a decision to reoccupy the God-state within. The hills and mountains of outward hope are only projections of lack; in truth, the salvation of Israel is the inward recognition of God as your own I AM. You are not seeking mercy from some distant hill, but waking to the fact that God in you is both healer and salvation. As you adopt this inner posture, the feeling of healing rises as if already done. Every ache or fear becomes a signal to re-anchor your awareness in the one I AM, the LORD your God—the undeniable fact of your being. In this light, repentance is not guilt but a revision of your subjective state back to its original, whole nature.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, drop into the I AM that you are, and assume the state: I am healed now. Feel the warmth of grace as if salvation has already been accomplished.
