Inner Restoration Jeremiah 3:21-25
Jeremiah 3:21-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage laments Israel’s wandering from God, invites return, and proclaims that healing and salvation come from the Lord within.
Neville's Inner Vision
A voice is heard within your own consciousness, calling you to drop the misdirections of habit and fear. The ‘weeping’ and supplications are the felt movements of a mind that has forgotten the Lord its God, a memory lapse of the I AM that you truly are. When the command Return, ye backsliding children arises, it is not a demand from outside; it is an inner decision to reorient attention to the awareness that you are, and to acknowledge the unity of mind with the divine within. The promise I will heal your backslidings becomes a radical revision: you do not chase healing through outer rites, but assume a new state of consciousness where healing is already accomplished. Outer salvation from the hills is declared void; true salvation resides here, in the Lord your God inside your own consciousness. The shame and labour of the past are opportunities to reframe your identity as one with the divine, and to wake to that truth now, from youth to this day.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, soften your breathing, and silently assume the state: I return to the Lord my God within me, and I am healed now. Feel a gentle inward flow wipe away old shame and confirm the sight of your inner salvation.
