Inner Reunion of Self
Jeremiah 3:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeremiah 3:18 foresees Judah and Israel coming together, returning from the north to the land promised to their fathers. It is a scene of unity that, in Neville's sense, points to the inner unification of complementary aspects of consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner reading, the houses are not bricks but states of awareness. Judah and Israel symbolize two aspects of your being—loyalty to covenant and the ensuring of promise. The north, a land of exile, marks thoughts of separation from the inheritance of God within. The promised land is not a geographical destination but the realization that I AM—your essential awareness—has already provided a homeland for your life. When these two tribes walk together, you are choosing a single trajectory of consciousness: alignment with the I AM, unity rather than division, present trust rather than memory of lack. The movement from the land of the north to the inheritance is the shift from believing you are scattered to knowing you are already gathered, from fear to faithful expectation. The prophecy becomes a declaration of present possibility: that the separations you perceived dissolve as you dwell in the unity of awareness. The I that remembers the covenant is the I AM within you, and its law is unity, provision, and return to wholeness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume: the houses of Judah and Israel are one within you, walking together. Visualize the northern exile dissolving as you feel the inheritance already given to your fathers—your present sense of I AM.
