Inner Prophecy Deception
Jeremiah 29:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage warns you not to heed those in your midst who claim to speak for God, nor the dreams you cause to be dreamed. They prophesy falsely in God's name; such voices are not sent by the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this warning lies the divine invitation to awaken from the trance of outward voices. In Neville's fashion, I tell you that 'prophets' and 'diviners' are not distant strangers; they are modes of your own mind, living as inner dispositions that crave signs, certainty, and control. You are not to be deceived by the dreams you cause to be dreamed any more than by an outward prophet; both arise from your current state of consciousness. When you identify with a story about the future, you become the very one who creates it, and the voice speaking through it sounds as if it comes from God, yet it is only the echo of your present beliefs. The true Word is I AM—the awareness that remains unchanged while the shifting thoughts come and go. If you listen to dreams or voices that do not reflect the constancy of the I AM, you are obeying a false oracle. The remedy is simple, inward and revolutionary: withdraw your belief from any vision not rooted in the I AM; revise it by declaring that the LORD within you directs all events; and feel as if that inner guidance is already your lived reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes; place your hand on your chest and repeat: 'I am the I AM within me; I now release all dreams and voices not sent from the LORD.' Then imagine walking in radiant stillness as this inner I AM guides your steps.
