Inner Covenant Truth Jeremiah 29:23

Jeremiah 29:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 29 in context

Scripture Focus

23Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 29:23

Biblical Context

The verse condemns those who violate trust—villany, adultery, and false speech spoken in God's name—and asserts that God knows and bears witness to their deceit.

Neville's Inner Vision

To you who read this, the scene is not out there but in your own consciousness. When you hear you have Villainy or speak lies in the name of God, you are encountering a misalignment within your own I AM. The terms villany and adultery describe states you tolerate inside—loyalties split from the one I AM within; lying words in my name are thoughts you entertain as if they were true because you wish them so. God says I know, and am a witness—not to condemn you, but to awaken you to your own inner witness. In Neville's terms, your world is the echo of your I AM's assumption. So, revise: assume you are the loyal speaker of truth, the keeper of your inner covenant; feel that deceit has no life in the I AM and that integrity already resides within you. As you dwell in that state, your outer life aligns with it. Imagination, rightly used, makes that fidelity tangible in form.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the state of being a truthful speaker before your inner audience. Revise any inner sentence that names deceit to truth and feel the I AM witnessing your fidelity.
