Dwelling in Your Inner Land

Jeremiah 23:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

8But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
Jeremiah 23:8

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 23:8 declares that the Lord lives and guides the dispersed seed of Israel from the north and all lands back to their own land.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your consciousness, the 'Lord' is the I AM that never dies. The 'seed of the house of Israel' represents your creative self, the awareness that can rekindle wholeness. The 'north country' and all other lands symbolize every mood, doubt, and circumstance that seems to scatter you from your natural state. When the Lord liveth, He is alive as your present Awareness, and He brings up and leads that seed out of exile—not by changing outward conditions first, but by rearranging your inner sense of being. The movement from exile to dwelling in one's land occurs as you accept and feel the truth that you are already in possession of a native land—the land of well-being, purpose, and fulfillment—within you. Providence does not merely visit you; it flows through your thoughts, aligning them to a single, sovereign state: I AM. When you rest in that state, your outer life follows, and you dwell in your own land, unshaken by the north winds of doubt.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, repeat 'The Lord liveth; I am led to my own land now' and feel the truth as a present sensation. See yourself standing in your inner land—your home, your field of plenty—and rest in that state until it becomes your default.
