Near and All-Seeing I Am

Jeremiah 23:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

23Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?
24Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:23-24

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 23:23–24 declares that God is both near and far and that nothing can hide from His sight. It affirms that Heaven and earth are filled by God’s presence.

Neville's Inner Vision

From Neville’s inner interpretation, these lines declare there is only one God in your consciousness—the I AM that is both immediately intimate and immeasurably vast. There is no distance in the realm of awareness; 'near' and 'afar off' are two faces of the same I AM that you are. If a secret place seems beyond reach, you are simply telling a story about where your attention has wandered, not about the divine capacity. The truth Jeremiah voices is that Heaven and Earth are filled by that one awareness, and nothing escapes it. In Neville’s practice, you reverse the scene by choosing to dwell as the I AM that fills all space, knowing that every thought, person, and circumstance appears within you as an image of your state. Your task is to hold the assumption that you are always seen by this unlimited consciousness, and you revise any sense of hiding by returning to I AM—the constant reality within. Persist in that state, and inwardly and outwardly the world will rearrange to reflect your true presence.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the I AM fills all space. Close your eyes, feel the room and world saturated with your awareness, and repeat 'I AM' until the sense of distance dissolves.
