Jeremiah 23:1 Inner Shepherding

Jeremiah 23:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

1Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:1

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 23:1 warns that leaders who destroy and scatter the Lord's flock are subject to judgment; it calls you to accountability for how you steward what you believe and feel. In Neville’s view, the flock is your inner life, and the pastors are your ruling thoughts; when they scatter, your consciousness itself is out of alignment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you stands a pasture of consciousness and a single shepherd, the I AM, who never falters. When Jeremiah pronounces woe on the pastors, interpret it as a call to examine the inner authorities you have allowed to rule your life. The pastors are the habitual thoughts, fears, and claims that scatter the flock—your memories, desires, and intents—so that you feel fragmented. The remedy is not struggle but a revision of your state. Assume a new consciousness: I AM the shepherd of my inner pasture; all parts respond to my word and gather in harmony beneath my awareness. As you hold this assumption, the scattered energies align, and the flock returns to the pen of unity. This is covenant loyalty: to inhabit the one Life, under one ruling consciousness, where righteousness is bottom-line experience, not external verdict. Your inner sovereignty becomes visible as order, cohesion, and fearlessness in the face of discord.

Practice This Now

Before sleep, declare: I AM the shepherd of my inner pasture; all parts are gathered and held in perfect order by my consciousness. Feel the calm certainty wash through you as you rest.
