Biblical Context
Verse 8–9 shows many nations passing by and asking why the LORD has treated this great city; the answer is that it has forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God and worshipped other gods.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville lens, the city is your outward world and the marching nations are the roaming thoughts of consciousness. The LORD is the I AM within you, the steady divine I that never wavers. The covenant is the inner agreement to live in alignment with that I AM. When the text says they forsook the covenant and worshipped other gods, it points to inner loyalties—attachments to fear, lack, or lesser desires—that you have allowed to rule your mind rather than keeping faith with the I AM. The judgments of the city are simply a reflection of your present state of consciousness made visible as circumstance. To reverse it, revise your inner stance: dwell in the covenant, refuse competing beliefs, and let your awareness of the I AM govern your life. Practice this fidelity, and the outer signs will realign to reflect that inner allegiance. The world is a mirror of your inner consent to be one with God-state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM state as your present reality. Repeat, 'I am faithful to the Covenant of the LORD my God,' and feel the inner alignment replace all competing beliefs.
