Inquire Within, Speak Truth
Jeremiah 21:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 21 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
King Zedekiah asks Jeremiah to inquire of the Lord for guidance as Babylon presses in. Jeremiah responds with a directive message to Zedekiah.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this scene the siege of fear is a mirror of your inner state when confronted by what seems threatening. In Neville terms the scene invites turning from outer petition to inward recognition of the I AM that makes all conditions bend to imagination. The message to Jeremiah is an invitation to inquire into your own consciousness rather than seek relief from outward events. The directive thus shall ye say becomes a firm inner decree: the wondrous works of God are at work in your mind to lift the siege and release the sense of confinement. You do not beg for relief; you acknowledge the desired outcome as already present in your inner life and move your attention there. The events of your world are not the author of your state; your inner conviction is. The fear can be dissolved by rising in awareness, letting the inner truth govern the scene. When you make this inner shift the outer world responds, and the sense of safety returns as your awareness expands.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, place a hand on your heart, and silently declare I AM the ruler of my life; my inner state governs the outer scene. Then move through the day with the feeling that the siege is over and trust is established.
