In the inner drama of your consciousness, Pashur is the name of a self-bound by public regard and stocks of worldly opinion. Jeremiah's declaration that the LORD renames him Magormissabib - 'terror on every side' - is not a sentence of doom but a symbolic signal to change your state. Names in scripture are states of mind; to rename is to revise the inner identification that generates outward circumstance. You are not condemned by the name you answer to; you are invited to awaken to the I AM behind all labels. When you recognize that your present fear-born name, your Magormissabib, is only a momentary projection, you may intentionally replace it with a new designation aligned with peace, faith, and the I AM. As you do, the imagined threat loses its grip and your inner life reorganizes around the truth that you are the awareness through which all events move.
