Prophetic Rename of Jeremiah
Jeremiah 20:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Pashur brings Jeremiah out of the stocks, and Jeremiah declares that Pashur's name will be Magormissabib instead of Pashur, signaling fear on every side.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner drama of your consciousness, Pashur is the name of a self-bound by public regard and stocks of worldly opinion. Jeremiah's declaration that the LORD renames him Magormissabib - 'terror on every side' - is not a sentence of doom but a symbolic signal to change your state. Names in scripture are states of mind; to rename is to revise the inner identification that generates outward circumstance. You are not condemned by the name you answer to; you are invited to awaken to the I AM behind all labels. When you recognize that your present fear-born name, your Magormissabib, is only a momentary projection, you may intentionally replace it with a new designation aligned with peace, faith, and the I AM. As you do, the imagined threat loses its grip and your inner life reorganizes around the truth that you are the awareness through which all events move.
Practice This Now
Choose a current fear as a named identity; in waking life or in imagination, rename it Magormissabib and feel the truth of 'I AM' steadying you as you rest into that new state for several minutes.
