Biblical Context
Jeremiah 20:11-12 speaks of the Lord being with the speaker, guaranteeing that persecutors will stumble and be confounded. It also acknowledges God’s righteous scrutiny of the heart and calls for inner vindication.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the I AM within, I feel the Lord who is with me as a mighty, terrible presence—not a distant judge but the very mover of my consciousness. Persecutors, in this light, are merely thoughts of lack and fear that stumble when confronted by the sturdiness of my true identity. The line about vengeance is not vengeance against others but the inner clearing of anything opposed to the truth I embody. When I dwell in God as I AM, the righteous are my alignment with truth; the heart and reins are seen to be known, and the inner verdict is settled—I am justified, I am protected, I am free. The inner movement of judgment becomes a humane, just correction that erases doubt and shame. This is not chaos but the order of consciousness manifesting as confidence, courage, and the sensation of vindication already present within me. So, the outer scene shifts as the inner decree holds firm: I am with me; I am the power that makes stumbling impossible.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: 'I AM with me, a mighty protection now'; feel it real until fear dissolves. Then revise the scene by imagining the inner judge (the heart and reins) recognizing truth, and let vindication appear in your present experience.
