Building The Inner Nation

Jeremiah 18:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 18 in context

Scripture Focus

9And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
10If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.
Jeremiah 18:9-10

Biblical Context

Jeremiah speaks of a nation and a kingdom that God would build or plant; if the people turn from his voice, he will repent of the good promised.

Neville's Inner Vision

Listen closely: the nation and the kingdom are not distant peoples, but your own inner states of consciousness. When God speaks of building and planting a nation, He reveals your capacity to conceive and sustain a new pattern of thought. If you obey the inner voice—your faithful imagination choosing love, alignment, and creative possibility—the good promised to you comes to be and your life flourishes. Should you yield to fear, doubt, or resistance, the I AM will repent of the good as you withdraw your magnetic assent from the desired outcome. Not because the universe punishes you, but because you have withdrawn the feeling that confirms the new state. In Neville's terms, you are the governor and the governed: your inner decree shapes outward events. To live in that truth is to act as if the kingdom already exists within you, and your world will align to reflect that inner kingdom. The moment you revise a doubt into confident expectation, you are replanting the good you intend.

Practice This Now

Assume the inner state you desire as if it already exists; feel the consciousness planting and growing a new life within you. If doubt arises, immediately revise with a fresh, confident image of the desired outcome.
