Rooted By The Living Water
Jeremiah 17:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Trusting in the LORD brings blessedness. A person becomes like a tree planted by waters, evergreen and fruitful even in drought.
Neville's Inner Vision
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is, is not a past decree but a present mood of awareness you awaken. To trust is to dwell in the I AM so completely that the world’s heat cannot burn you. In Neville’s sense, the LORD is your inner I AM, the living water of consciousness that nourishes every branch of your life. When you plant yourself beside this river, your roots of faith spread through your imagination, drawing sustenance from an eternal supply. Heat and drought are merely mental pictures; with your roots deep in awareness, you remain green and fruitful because your state of mind remains unshaken. You do not measure your life by outward weather, but by the vitality of your inner atmosphere. If you assume that you already inhabit this trust, you align with the law that creation follows belief. Your body and circumstances begin conforming to the feeling of security; you become the image of a tree thriving by the waters, abiding in peace, and yielding fruit as a natural expression of your inner trust.
Practice This Now
Assume you are that tree now. Plant yourself by the inner river of awareness and feel your roots spreading; repeat I trust the LORD within me until the sense of certainty is real.
