The Inner Word of Faith
Jeremiah 17:15-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeremiah laments the apparent delay of the LORD’s word, affirms his faithful service, and prays not to be terrified while asking for the fate of his persecutors to be reversed. The passage points to inner fidelity under pressure and the demand that the inner word govern outer appearances.
Neville's Inner Vision
I tell you, the word of the LORD is not a decree handed to you from above but an idea claimed in the mind and owned as present reality. When Jeremiah asks, Where is the word of the LORD? the question is your own moment when you hesitate to trust the truth you already know within. The day of evil is not a future calamity but a field where imagination either holds fast to fear or yields to the I AM that never wavers. Be not a terror unto me, for Thou art my hope—this is your declaration you repeat until fear loses its grip. The cry to confound the persecutors is the inner demand that the old scene be dissolved by a newer premise. Let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed—your inner decree does the dismaying. In this truth, the outer must answer to the inner word, and the double destruction spoken becomes the destruction of lack and limitation in your own consciousness. Stand firm in the awareness that you are the word living in you, and the world must follow.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the inner word becoming tangible in your chest as calm, confidence, and clarity. Let this sense of I AM steady you until the world around you rearranges to match the decree.
