Biblical Context
God declares He will mar the pride of Judah and Jerusalem; the people who refuse to hear and chase other gods shall become like a useless girdle. Yet He longs to cleave to them and make them His people if they would listen.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here is the simple secret: God is your I AM, the awareness that forever remains when you withdraw investment from fear and outer images. The 'pride of Judah' is the stiff notion of self you cling to as if it were you. When you walk in the imagination of the heart and chase after other gods, you loosen the belt that links you to your true life, and your experience becomes good for nothing, as the girdle that would not serve. Yet the divine word also offers a practical reset: I have caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and Judah; that is, the wholeness of your being can become attached to the Presence you call God, and thus you may be a people, a name, a praise, and a glory in your world. Your imagination shapes your state, not externals. So revise now: you are already hearing the inner voice; you are already one with God; see pride dissolve and the belt reforge around you, securing your true nature.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already the people God longs for, cleaving to Him in truth and hearing His word now. Feel the pride melt as you dwell in the I AM, revising your inner state to be united with God.
