Cleave to God Within

Jeremiah 13:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 13 in context

Scripture Focus

11For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
Jeremiah 13:11

Biblical Context

God longs for intimate covenant with Israel, binding all of them to Himself so they may be a people, a name, a praise, and a glory; they would not hear. Their failure to hear marks the inner resistance of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner world of consciousness, the girdle cleaving to the loins mirrors your own alignment with the I AM. God declares He has caused the whole house of Israel and Judah to cleave unto Him so they might be unto Him a people, a name, a praise, and a glory. To hear is to accept and live from the inner covenant; not hearing is not a decree of fate but a failure of inner conviction. The state you deem real in imagination is the state God has prepared for you—already complete. If you imagine yourself as the people of God, as a name, as a praise, as a glory, your outer life will reflect that fidelity. The remedy is to revise doubt and assume the end: you are cleaved to God, you hear, and you live as that which you already are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and place your hand over your heart. Affirm: I am the I AM hearing and cleaving to God within; I am a people, a name, a praise, and a glory.
