Inner Exile and Inheritance

Jeremiah 12:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 12 in context

Scripture Focus

14Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
Jeremiah 12:14

Biblical Context

God declares that the evil neighbours who threaten His people's inheritance will be plucked out—from the land and from the house of Judah. This points to exile and renewal within the inner life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Jeremiah's oracle is the voice of the I AM speaking within your own consciousness. The 'evil neighbours' are the stubborn tenants of fear, doubt, blame, and self-limitation that press against your inner inheritance—the health, abundance, and clarity of your true self. They touch the inheritance when you identify with lack or conflict, and they seem to pluck you from the land of your vitality and from the temple of your awareness. The promise is not a future event but a decision of consciousness: I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them. In Neville's terms, you do not battle outward conditions; you revise your inner belief until the reality shifts. Assume the truth that you are the I AM, the perceiver who creates by conviction. Feel the reality of complete freedom, wholeness, and rightful dominion now. As you dwell in that state and treat it as already yours, the old negative states lose their authority and fade away. The inner land is restored, and your Judah—your central sight of self-rule—returns to its rightful throne.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, declare, 'I am the I AM; this inner land now belongs to me,' and feel the land cleared of fear as Judah stands sovereign in your consciousness.
