Inner Covenant Imagination Alignment
Jeremiah 11:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes a people who did not listen or act, living by the imagination of their own evil heart. Because of this inner stance, the words of the covenant would come, yet they did not do what was commanded.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jeremiah speaks as your inner man: the world is simply your mind in various states. The ones who walk in the imagination of their evil heart are those who refuse to listen to the I AM in them; they imagine and act from fear, vanity, or resentment, and thus enact the very consequences they fear, because the covenant they were commanded to keep remains as natural law within consciousness. When you entertain that image, you violate the covenant you already are—your alignment with beingness—and the words of the covenant are drawn to experiences you do not desire. The remedy is not through punishment but through revision. Return to the assumption that the I AM commands you to listen and obey in the present moment. In your imagination, feel yourself stepping into faithful obedience, hearing the inner voice and acting accordingly. With consistent feeling it real, the outer life will reflect the inner covenant you now keep.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes, breathe, and assume the inner state of obedience to the I AM; imagine yourself already following the inner guidance today and feel it real as you move through the day.
