Read Jeremiah 11 in context

Scripture Focus

16The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
Jeremiah 11:16

Biblical Context

The LORD calls you a green olive tree full of fruit, while inner tumult and purging break away the old branches.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Jeremiah 11:16 is not a geography but a map of your inner state. The LORD calling thy name as a green olive tree is the I AM, the living awareness you truly are. The olive tree bears good fruit when you align with being; the great tumult you hear is the inner shifting of beliefs and the purging fire is your imagination at work, burning away old identifications. The broken branches symbolize the shedding of crowded personae that no longer serve your state of consciousness. Judgment here is inner restructuring, not punishment from without, returning you to the covenant of your true nature. Exile and return point to the movement of awareness away from old forms and back to the living tree of now. In this light you can use your imagination to stay with the sense 'I AM' as the tree and to see every changing scene as pruning that makes room for greater fruit. The inner reality of you remains intact even as appearances change.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are the green olive tree—rooted in I AM, bearing good fruit. With each breath, allow the tumult to melt into purification and revise any sense of separation, feeling the branches grow anew.
