Covenant Words Within
Jeremiah 11:1-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage calls Judah to hear and keep the covenant God made when bringing them out of Egypt. It warns that disobedience curses the people, while obedience binds them to God and secures the land.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider how the decree speaks not of distant lands but of your inner state. Jeremiah’s call to ‘hear ye the words of this covenant’ is your invitation to listen to the inner law of your own I AM. To obey is to align your thoughts, feelings, and choices with that law; disobedience is merely a moment of identification with lack, fear, or separation. When you choose to obey, you become the people who belong to God—awareness becomes familiar, steady, and present. The ‘land flowing with milk and honey’ is the lived atmosphere of ease, nourishment, and gratitude that follows from living in harmony with your higher self. The oath sworn to your fathers is your own vow renewed in the now: I hear, I obey, I dwell in the promise. The memory of Egypt—the iron furnace—becomes a symbol of old habits you release by the act of assuming the truth that you are already possessed of all. So be it—this is the inward agreement that creates your outward world.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and say, I am the I AM. Then revise any fear by seeing yourself already dwelling in the promised land, feel its abundance now.
