Inner Wealth Beyond Idols
Jeremiah 10:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse depicts wealth as outward, crafted things—silver plates, gold, and colored clothing—manufactured by skilled hands. It suggests these riches are external appearances rather than true power.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this line you are pointed to the truth that outer wealth is but the visible attire of a state of consciousness. God is the I AM, and imagination is the hidden engine by which all appearances arise. The 'work of the workman' and the 'hands of the founder' symbolize the outer faculties by which a particular life-state looks secured. Yet these things do not govern you; your present awareness, your inner I AM, governs the imagery of your life. When you catch yourself chasing Tarshish silver or Uphaz gold, you are witnessing a mental state clinging to form. The invitation is to reverse the focus: assume the wealth you desire already exists in your inner reality, and let your imagination bring it forth as real. This is not denial of riches, but a shift from dependence on outer signs to the recognition that kingship and provision flow from within. The true authority lies in the capacity to imagine from the end and to feel it real, regardless of outward appearances.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the wealth you seek already exists within your I AM and feel it as real in your chest for a few breaths. If lack arises, revise, 'I am the I AM, and abundance flows from me now.'
