I AM Directs My Steps

Jeremiah 10:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 10 in context

Scripture Focus

23O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
24O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
Jeremiah 10:23-24

Biblical Context

Jeremiah acknowledges that human plans do not originate in self, asking God to guide and correct—not in anger, lest he be brought to nothing. The verses emphasize humility before divine direction.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the verse does not say 'you must figure it out' but 'the way of man is not in himself.' In the I AM, Neville-like inner guidance is the sole director of your steps; you are asked to yield the wheel of desire to the divine driver within. When you say, 'O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger,' you are requesting a revision of your state of consciousness, not a punitive verdict in the world. The correction comes as inner alignment: a feeling of just, wise direction that leaves you with faith rather than fear. Your temptations to control, to hurry, or to judge others melt when you assume that your present and future actions are already being guided by the I AM. Practice detecting and aligning with that inner intelligence: imagine your intentions are being reordered by a higher consciousness, revise your plans accordingly, and feel the security of being led. The 'steps' you walk are mental steps first, then outward moves; therefore, govern your inner state and your world will follow.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the I AM guiding your every move. Revise a current plan by saying 'I am led by divine wisdom now' and feel it real as if your next step is already chosen by God.
