Inner Kingdom at the Gate
Jeremiah 1:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares He will summon the families of the kingdoms of the north to Jerusalem, setting their thrones at the gates and walls of Judah.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the awakening mind, the ‘nations of the north’ are not distant armies but frozen beliefs moving inside your own consciousness. The Lord’s word that they come to Jerusalem’s gates signals a threshold moment in awareness, where a belief system asserts itself at the entry to your attention. The ‘thrones’ set at the gates show where a fixed idea has taken residence in your self-image; at the doorway of awareness, your thoughts arrange themselves and seem to rule. When you recognize that God is the I AM within you, you become the sovereign who calls forth these inner kingdoms and assigns their seats. The prophecy of exile and return is the inner drama by which consciousness tests its alignment; you may experience disruption as old patterns surface, yet this drama purifies and prepares the heart for a higher order of belief. The outer world becomes the echo of your inner state, a mirror of your letting-go or your affirmations. So attend to this moment as your own reality: you are the ruler of Jerusalem within, and the gates stand open to your imagination.
Practice This Now
Assume you are personally calling forth these inner kingdoms at the gates. Revise any fear by affirming, 'I am the Lord of this mind, the I AM here and now,' and feel the gates respond with calm, as your inner city settles into harmony.
