Inner Riches, Inner Judgment

James 2:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read James 2 in context

Scripture Focus

6But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
James 2:6-7

Biblical Context

James 2:6-7 condemns despising the poor, notes that rich oppression and social judgment occur, and warns that such acts blaspheme the sacred name by which believers are called.

Neville's Inner Vision

James exposes a crisis in consciousness: to despise the poor and to be moved by the so-called wealth of others is to reject a part of your own being and to yield to the illusion of separation. The 'rich' and the 'poor' are not distant powers but states of mind within you—one of abundance, one of lack. The 'worthy name' by which you are called is the I AM, the living awareness through which you interpret life. When you judge or condemn, you blaspheme that name, because you deny the unity of all expressions within your own divine economy. The cure is to affirm the I AM as sovereign over every scene, treating every person as an indispensable expression of your inward riches. By revising inwardly—holding the conviction that provision, dignity, and justice flow from your own consciousness—you dissolve external judgments and invite the abundance that already rests in your awareness. The court of your life becomes simply a reflection you command with the truth of your being.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM is the ruler of your entire field of life; revise the scene to see all people as precious expressions of your divine economy and feel abundant provision flowing to you now.
