James 2:1 — Inner Equality Now

James 2:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read James 2 in context

Scripture Focus

1My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
James 2:1

Biblical Context

James 2:1 cautions believers not to show faith while honoring some people above others. It calls us to recognize that the Lord Jesus Christ dwells in all, so there is no room for partiality.

Neville's Inner Vision

Faith here is not a badge to be paraded before others, but an inner state—the realization that the Lord of glory resides in you and in every being. To entertain favoritism is to forget the I AM that eyes the world as its own dream. When you judge a servant by appearance or a prince by position, you are projecting a belief in separation into your world. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, is the constant awareness through which all persons are seen; in that light, there is no privileged class, only manifestations of the same one life. If you want to heal partiality, revise your assumption until it feels true you are the one perceiving God in all. Imagine the same I AM shining from the simplest neighbor and the most exalted stranger. Your faith then becomes a practical order: treat all with the same reverence, and let your actions arise from that inner recognition. The kingdom you seek is the awakening that you are already the Lord within every mind.

Practice This Now

Assume the Lord is within every person you meet. When a judgment arises, revise it by silently affirming 'I AM within you' and feel that truth as real.
