Enduring the Inner Crown

James 1:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read James 1 in context

Scripture Focus

12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
James 1:12-13

Biblical Context

Blessed is the one who endures temptation, for endurance leads to the crown of life; do not claim God is the source of temptation, for God cannot be tempted and does not tempt anyone.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the inner theatre, temptation is not an external attacker but a signal flag of your present consciousness. Blessed endurance occurs when the I AM remains fixed in the image of Love, and the crown of life reveals itself as the realized state of Being that loves God and lives in harmony with that affectionate I AM. God is not the tempter; divine life cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt any man. The source of pressure is your own restless mind seeking to separate your sense of self from the I AM. By persisting in the inner love, you turn the trial into a conversion of awareness; you awaken to the life that already resides in you. As you endure, you do not chase external outcomes; you return to the inner man who already wears the crown. Thus, the outward becomes a mirror of the inward harmony.

Practice This Now

Assume the state: I am the I AM enduring this moment; I receive the crown of life now by loving the Lord within. Then feel that realization as true in your chest and mind for a minute.
