From Dim to Light Within
Isaiah 9:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 9:1-2 describes dimness and vexation giving way to a great light for those who walked in darkness. The light comes as a present inner transformation, not a distant event.
Neville's Inner Vision
Dimness and vexation are not imposed from without; they are states of your own consciousness. The lightly afflicted lands Zebulun and Naphtali symbolize habits and thoughts that once deemed you small, now seen by your inner eye as passing shadows. The Galilee of the nations is the field of your daily life when your awareness becomes aware of itself. The great light that arises is the recognition that you are the I AM, the ever-present perceiver, not a victim of circumstance. When you assume the end—your life illuminated, your problems dissolved in the radiance of being—you revise the past and awaken the seed of light within. The shadow of death dissolves where you choose to dwell in the truth of your identity. The prophecy speaks to your present mind: as you accept the light as your own, outer events align with it. You do not chase light; you remember it by turning your attention inward and declaring, in feeling, I AM the light this world seeks.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Assume the feeling I AM the light and dwell in a scene where every corner of your inner world glows with clear awareness; feel the shift as if you already live in the light.
