Inner Conspiracies and Kingship

Isaiah 7:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 7 in context

Scripture Focus

5Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
6Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
Isaiah 7:5-6

Biblical Context

The passage describes a plot by Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah against Judah, including a plan to set a king in its midst.

Neville's Inner Vision

Be not taken in by the outward drama of Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah. In Neville's reading this is a map of inner forces within the soul: currents of fear, pride, and the impulse to replace your true center with a counterfeit king. The 'evil counsel' is the mental chatter that would vex your mind, breach your unity, and install a rule that you never consent to. Judah represents your innermost awareness—the I AM that simply is. When you understand that the threat is really a belief in separation, you may revise it by turning attention away from the drama and toward the witness who sees it all. The moment you imagine a king in the midst of your mind, you are invited to acknowledge a higher sovereignty: the I AM as king, not to control appearances, but to govern consciousness. As you rest in that realization, the outer conspiracy dissolves, and your inner government remains intact, secure, loving, and true to the one life that you are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, feel the I AM as the king seated on the throne of your mind, and repeat, 'I am the One here; I allow no belief in threat to rule me.'
