Inner Immanuel Revelation

Isaiah 7:10-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 7 in context

Scripture Focus

10Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
11Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
12But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
13And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:10-14

Biblical Context

God invites a sign; Ahaz declines. The sign itself is an internal birth of consciousness—Immanuel, God with us.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Isaiah's word, I answer within: The Lord asks you to seek a sign, but the real sign is your present consciousness. Ahaz refuses to look outward; you are told to drop the chase and remember that Immanuel is not coming from above or below, but arising from your own consciousness. The virgin is not a body born in time, but a pure state of awareness, a fresh moment of birth within your imagination. When you conceive Immanuel, you acknowledge God-with-you as your perpetual I AM, here and now. The child is the new attitude you allow to be born—the quiet confidence that you are never abandoned by God, for God is the awareness that animates all you perceive. Fear of approaching the divine disappears when you stop waiting for a sign from without and claim the sign within—this moment, this recognition, this feeling of being held by the divine presence. So the promise is not distant; it is your own awakening to I AM that never leaves you.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling 'I AM with God now' and revise any doubt; then breathe into the sense of Immanuel until it feels real.
