Read Isaiah 66 in context

Scripture Focus

5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
Isaiah 66:5-6

Biblical Context

The passage promises that those who tremble at God's word will be vindicated; the Lord will appear as joy to you, while those who opposed you will be ashamed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember, the word of the LORD is the command of the I AM you are; tremble at that inner word, not at fear. The brethren who oppose you are the old images of yourself; when they say Let the LORD be glorified, they betray the ego clinging to glory, not your true life. But the Lord shall appear to your joy—your inner reality will witness itself as joy, and the old attitudes will be ashamed as they vanish in the light of your steadfast I AM. The loud voice from city and temple is the friction of shifting states; it tests your conviction but cannot displace the truth of your being. The recompense is not punishment but the natural correction of belief: when you acknowledge the I AM within, the external conditions align, and enemies recede before your realized reality. So keep faith with this inner decree: you already are the appearing self; your joy is the signal that God is present in you, now.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling that God has appeared as your joy now; revise any fear or opposition, and softly but firmly know, I AM; the appearing self is mine, and the world shifts to reflect that.
