Inner Fire Awakening

Isaiah 66:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 66 in context

Scripture Focus

15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Isaiah 66:15-16

Biblical Context

The text proclaims that the LORD comes with fire to judge all flesh. In Neville's reading, this fire is inner purification that clears away old beliefs.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the lines I hear the I AM approaching with a fiery energy that purifies not a distant people, but my own consciousness. The coming fire is not vengeance in time but a cleansing of belief, a heat that reveals what I have assumed about myself and God. The chariots and whirlwind are the movements of my thoughts driven by imagination; when I stop fearing them and allow the flame to burn off residue, truth remains unshaken: I am the I AM, consciousness itself, always awake. The LORD's sword is the sharp clarity of awareness that cuts through every negative story until only love and order remain. Slain, in this inner gospel, means the death of every identity that says, 'I am not worthy,' or 'I am separate.' As these false images fall away, the inner kingdom unfolds; justice, peace, and fearless power, because all judgment is simply the alignment of mind with its true nature. The fire answers to faith, and faith is the steady feeling, right now, that I am fully received by God within me.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit in quiet and repeat, 'I am the I AM awake in me; the fire of awareness purifies my mind now.' Feel the warmth dissolve fear and revise every lack into love and fearless living.
