River of Comfort for Isaiah 66:12-13

Isaiah 66:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 66 in context

Scripture Focus

12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 66:12-13

Biblical Context

God promises peace and maternal comfort for Jerusalem, like a river and a mother's care. You are invited to rest in that inner assurance.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner cinema, Jerusalem is your present state of consciousness, where the I AM flows as a river. Peace is not somewhere to find; it is the continuous awareness that refuses fear and chooses rest. The maternal comfort is the law of grace within, nursing every wound of lack with tenderness. When you acknowledge the divine presence within as I AM, the glory of the Gentiles becomes your expanding sense of worth and favor, a steady stream of opportunities that nourish you. You are carried on her sides and dandled upon her knees by your higher self, nourished and protected as a child of God. The I AM consoles you as a mother consoles her child; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem—the sanctuary of consciousness where events arrange themselves to match this restful state. Dwell in that image until it feels real, and watch the outer world harmonize with the inward posture.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, affirm I AM at rest in God, and feel the river of peace flowing through you; imagine being held and comforted by the divine mother within Jerusalem.
