Inner River of Peace

Isaiah 66:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 66 in context

Scripture Focus

12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
Isaiah 66:12

Biblical Context

God declares that peace will flood Zion like a river, and the nations' glory will follow as a flowing stream. You are invited to receive nourishment and gentle care from that peace.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine that the Lord is the I AM within you, not a distant ruler, and His promise of peace is your present condition. Peace is not a future payoff but a river that flows when you behold it with awareness. The 'glory of the Gentiles' are the scattered parts of your own being—thoughts, impulses, talents—that long to be united with the river. As you dwell in awareness, that river rises and carries you, and 'you shall suck' and be carried, as if on her sides, nourished and dandled by the peace you have claimed. This is the inner kingdom: Gentile nations become one with your present awareness, their variety becoming harmony. The key is to assume the feeling of that state now, to treat peace as your natural habitat, not a future forecast. When you identify with I AM as the living center of yourself, you will see all 'peoples'—all aspects—flow into your awareness and you will know the fullness of the kingdom here and now.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, rest in I AM, and say in present tense: 'I am the river of peace now flowing through me.' Feel the current nourish every part of you and imagine being held and carried by that peace.
