Blessings in the God of Truth

Isaiah 65:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 65 in context

Scripture Focus

16That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
Isaiah 65:16

Biblical Context

The verse contrasts blessings and vows rooted in external terms with those anchored in the God of truth within; it also notes that past troubles are forgotten or hidden from sight when aligned with inner reality.

Neville's Inner Vision

In Isaiah 65:16, the outer earth is the stage of appearance, while the God of truth is the I AM within you. To bless yourself in the God of truth is to anchor your sense of self in that inner, unchangeable state, not in shifting conditions. To swear by the God of truth is to commit your thoughts and promises to this inner standard rather than to outward terms. When you dwell in this inner alignment, the former troubles are forgotten, hidden from your eyes, because your attention has turned from 'earthly' evidence to the living truth of your being. Your imagination becomes the instrument by which you redeem reality: faith is an act of recollecting the true nature of yourself as I AM, and letting outward events reflect that truth. The practical result is immediate: begin from the end, assume the inner state of the truth you seek, and feel it real until it colors your world.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, breathe, and declare, I AM the God of truth within me. Bless myself now from this inner state; revise a recent trouble as forgotten, and watch it fade from my inner sight as awareness holds to truth.
