Inner Call and Choice Within

Isaiah 65:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 65 in context

Scripture Focus

12Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
Isaiah 65:12

Biblical Context

Isaiah 65:12 speaks of a call that goes unheard, leading to judgment as one persists in actions that do not delight the divine. It highlights inner unresponsiveness—consciousness failing to align with the I AM within.

Neville's Inner Vision

This verse is not a threat from an external deity but a mirror of your inner state. When the I AM within you is ignored, you slip into habits that do not delight your true self, and the ‘sword’ of consequence shows up as the breaking of old patterns. The clause about bowing to slaughter signifies the surrender of the old you to a higher alignment, a renunciation of separation. You are measured not by a distant judgment but by your willingness to attend to the call of consciousness. The remedy is to reverse the stance: assume you are the one who answers, hear the call as your own, and delight to move in accord with the divine purpose. In this moment you can rewrite your inner script, and that new state will begin to manifest as your life, for imagination creates reality when lived as truth in the I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and imagine the inner call speaking to you now; then revise your state by affirming, 'I hear and answer the I AM within me.' Dwell in that feeling for a few minutes, letting it become your expected reality.
