Awakening the Inner Mountain
Isaiah 65:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse warns that turning away from the LORD and worshiping external tables or numbers blinds the inner hearing, inviting judgment as one neglects the inner call. It highlights a choice: awaken the inner worship or suffer the consequences of alignment with outward distractions.
Neville's Inner Vision
All of this passage is a map of inner states. The act of forsaking the LORD is when the mind turns from the I AM to the world and its proofs. The 'holy mountain' is the sanctuary of awareness within; the 'table for that troop' and 'drink offering unto that number' symbolize worship of crowds, numbers, and external idols. When you are called—when the inner voice speaks—you did not answer, because you believed sensation and circumstance were more real than your inner reality. You chose what delighted the senses, not what delighted the I AM. The 'sword' is the waking discipline of consciousness that comes as you revise your state. The cure is simple: assume the state that you are the I AM, that you hear, and that you answer. Build the inner temple so solidly that your outer world arranges itself to the feeling of that presence. In this revision, the 'judgment' is not punishment but a clearing of thoughts until only the Presence remains, and true worship flows again.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, in your own words, declare 'I am the I AM; I hear; I answer within.' Then revise any distracting thought by mentally returning to your inner mountain until it feels real.
