Awakening the Inner Arm of Salvation

Isaiah 63:1-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 63 in context

Scripture Focus

1Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
3I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
4For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
5And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
6And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
Isaiah 63:1-6

Biblical Context

Isaiah 63:1-6 speaks of a mighty deliverer who comes with righteousness to save. It also speaks of judgment, and the promise that salvation arises from the speaker's own arm—the inner power within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed psychologically, the passage is a drama of your inner self. Edom and Bozrah mark the outer beliefs that seem to clothe you in separation; the dyed garments symbolize the old self you are ready to release. The winepress is the inner fire that purges a stale mentality, not a call to vengeance against others. When the text says I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save, it is your I AM asserting itself as the only power that can change your state. The moment there is none to help and mine own arm brought salvation unto me points to the truth that salvation comes from within, not from the world of appearances. The day of vengeance is the decision to abandon judgments that keep you locked in limitation, and the year of my redeemed is come proclaims a new state of consciousness you now inhabit. In Neville terms the scene is an invitation to IMAGINE and to REVISE until you feel the inner arm lifting you into a new reality. You are the actor and the witness; your inner I AM saves you by your own assumptive life.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling that I AM is saving you now; revise any sense of lack and feel the inner strength as real today. Picture the winepress of old beliefs being cleansed by your inner arm.
