Watchmen Within: Unceasing Prayer
Isaiah 62:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 62 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares He has set watchmen on Jerusalem's walls who never cease their cry; those who make mention of the LORD should not remain silent.
Neville's Inner Vision
Isaiah 62:6 invites you to awaken within your own consciousness. The walls of Jerusalem symbolize the boundaries of your present awareness, and the watchmen are steadfast states of mind that witness the truth of God as I AM. They never sleep because you choose to stay awake to the reality of Spirit. When you “make mention of the LORD,” you align with the I AM that you are and reawaken the living memory of divine presence. To remain silent would be to deny your own inner sovereignty; to revise is to affirm that the Lord is always within and to feel that presence as real. Imagination is the instrument by which these watchmen are stationed: with every moment you hold the scene in mind, you fortify their cry. By honoring their vigil you awaken the sense that the kingdom of God is within and accessible now, here in your own being, not somewhere distant.
Practice This Now
Sit in quiet and declare inwardly, 'I am the LORD within me; I have set watchmen on my walls.' Visualize your inner Jerusalem with vigilant watchmen; feel their cry as a palpable reality in your chest and live from that remembered presence throughout the day.
