Inner Renewal Of Isaiah 61:1-4
Isaiah 61:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 61 in context

Biblical Context
The passage speaks of the Spirit upon the speaker, anointing him to heal, liberate, and comfort. It also envisions rebuilding ruined places and transforming desolation into beauty.
Neville's Inner Vision
I hear the Spirit of the Lord GOD upon me, anointing my consciousness to preach good tidings to the meek within. I do not seek outside rescue; I am the one God has sent, the voice that binds up the brokenhearted in my own heart and releases the mind-bound, liberating it from fear. I proclaim liberty to the captives—the thoughts that chain me—by changing the inner channels of belief, opening the prison of doubt to the light of a new settlement in awareness. I declare the acceptable year of the LORD is now, the day when I turn from mourning to wholeness, comfort to despair. For those within Zion who mourn, beauty for ashes flows to my memory, the oil of joy for mourning oils my inner atmosphere, the garment of praise covers the heaviness of spirit. I become trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, nourished by divine alignment, glorifying Him through the life I live inwardly. And I shall rebuild the old wastes in my experience, raise up desolations of generations long past, by the power of awakened consciousness.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, claim 'The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me' as your present awareness and feel it real. Then revise a current limitation by imagining it has already been transformed.
